EFT is a simple yet powerful pscyhosensory modality where we tap on points on the body while focusing on what is troubling us, and our brain processes events from the past that happened when we didn’t have the resources to fully process them. If you are new to EFT and would like an overview of how it works, and how to do the basic recipe, you can watch this 15 minute video by Dr Peta Stapleton.
EFT has an impressive body of clinical research that has been built up over the years. If you would like to some of the research, Dr Peta Stapleton’s website is a good place to start.
I have been in awe of EFT since 2007 when I did an experiment with two dogs who had been abandoned and my partner had given them a home. After seeing them heal their terror of going in the car with EFT, I was spurred on to try it on my extensive allergies, and was blown away to see them fully resolved. I will never forget the look on my parents’ faces when I got back to NZ after that and was sitting at their dinner table and asked someone to pass the butter. They couldn’t believe that I was no longer reacting to any food!
